About this ebook

Read the stunning new sequel to The Gloaming – the book that debuted at #1 in Vampires and Paranormal and #4 in Zombies, Werewolves and Vampires on Amazon, topping The Vampire Lestat and Empire of the Damned in its opening week.

Vânător returns to where it all began: friendship and darkness, hiding beneath the sparkling surface of the great World Fair.

1889. Paris.

Adam Locke and Nicholas Murray arrive in the City of Light as the Belle Époque reaches the height of its allure, drawn by promises of society, art, and a frantic search for stolen documents that could destroy Adam's reputation.

Their hunt takes them from the glittering salons of the bourgeoisie to dank absinthe bars and illegal boxing clubs – testing their friendship, loyalties and skills. But Paris keeps its secrets close, and every player has their own agenda.

Modern Day. Sheffield.

After weeks tracking the woman who destroyed everything for him, Nicholas is consumed by grief. Then a connection he thought severed blazes back to life, and he must follow the tattered pull of his heart to find the meaning he'd thought lost forever.

All the while, flames smoulder without burning in an abandoned flat. Memories fracture and reform. And ghostly warnings call out: something has changed. Rules have been broken. The worst is still to come.

Atmospheric and restrained, Vânător weaves past and present into a tapestry of secrets, history, and the hidden supernatural world.

Two timelines converge. What was forgotten will be remembered.

Vânător is the second book in The Revenants series.

About the author

Jamie Dalton writes modern gothic fantasy where the supernatural is never quite what it seems – and falling in love won't make it any better.

With a background in English and Psychology, she crafts stories that explore grief, violence, and desire through characters who are as dangerous to themselves as they are to each other. Her work spans vampire romance, psychological horror, and all things in between... so long as it's dark, atmospheric, morally all over the place, and refuses the easy answer.

A lifelong devotee of vampire fiction – from Buffy to Anne Rice – Jamie lives in Sheffield with her husband, daughter and more books than she has room for. She draws inspiration from the city's hidden history and her Scottish roots, all while trying to figure out if immortality would actually solve anything.
