With this, the final book in a wonderful trilogy, Jean Grant delighted me with a lovely story, characters that I cared about and rooted for, and as always, well-researched descriptions of and references to medieval Scotland life. I love a touch of magic and this author doesn’t disappoint! Each of these books can be read as stand-alones, but I enjoyed reading them in the order in which they were intended. All of these stories highlight special magical abilities of certain characters. “Lies” offers a particularly unique and interesting ability in our hero, one that I have not encountered before. Fun, delicious read!

This is by far the best book of the series. This character-driven story drew me in from the first chapter. The characters seem real, the action and fight scenes fit the plot and there is a surprising plot twist. While I enjoyed getting to know this newest generation of characters, there's enough information that the story can also stand alone (it's been 2 years since I read the previous books in this series).

Lies, visions, fear, and danger brought Rosalie and Domhnall together. I enjoyed Rosalie as she danced around the truth while "reading" palms using in observation skills. She was loyal to family though her life was not what she wanted. Domhnall had his visions and fears to deal with, but received comfort from Rosalie. They made an interesting couple despite their differences and really complemented each other. I received a copy of this story through Goddess Fish Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
