Jean Oram used to write lists of things to do for her friends when they couldn’t decide what to do together. When her first child was less than a year old she took up her old habit again and began a list of free play ideas in case her daughter ever came to her with those dreaded words on her lips, “I’m bored.” Within days she had hundreds of ideas. And eventually, this book was born. Her daughter is now a preteen and many of the activities in this book have been tested (or invented) in the Oram household.
Jean is a New York Times bestselling romance author, mother of two, instigator of play, and a fun wife. She loves to spend time in the great outdoors getting dirty and playing. (She loves it when her kids join in.) She’s worked as a library children’s programmer, ski instructor, as well as beekeeper. She lives in Canada with her family and big shaggy dog.
