When I heard an Assertiveness Trainer recommended Toastmasters, I wasn't surprised. Since 1993 meek people have joined the clubs that I have been in and slowly and inevitably they have learned how to communicate to be heard. The leadership training that comes from practicing at a Toastmasters club is the true companion in the field for Jeffrey Davidson's book on Assertiveness. Every suggestion in the book is the starting point for increasing a person's presence and amplifying the personna which others will recognize as assertiveness. Looking people in the eyes when speaking, standing straight, speaking clearly: these are all in the book and when practiced at a great club like Bagel Talk in Clearwater, Florida until perfected will absolutely dispel the meek and replace with a confident, assertive leader.
