About this ebook

Wow!! This book!!! Where do I begin?... Completely and utterly impossible to put downliterally had me on the edge of my seat. I devoured this book in just one sitting… gripping, engaging and a superb read. A definite five stars.Little Miss Book Lover 87, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The girl’s long black hair clings to her face like seaweed. Her beautiful eyes are open, unseeing. And a thin line of flesh circling the base of her ring finger has been removed. It’s just like the others…

When Agent Nadine Finch gets the call about the broken body of a young woman found drifting in Sarasota Bay, Florida, she pretends it’s just another case: but deep down, she’s lying to herself. Even though she changed her name, Nadine has always known her family’s dark past would catch up with her eventually.

Examining the wound around the victim’s finger, a cruel imitation of a wedding ring, she knows for sure: someone has started killing young women in exactly the same way Nadine’s serial-killer mother did 20 years ago.

There’s only one place she’ll find answers. And until she does, every woman in this close-knit community is in danger. At the prison, Nadine flinches as she hears her mother’s soft voice—such a contrast to those cold, cruel eyes—for the first time in decades.

‘Hi baby. I’ve been expecting you…’

An unputdownable thriller that will have you racing through the pages until the final, jaw-dropping twist. Perfect for fans of Rachel Caine, Lisa Gardner and Mary Burton.

4.25⭐ A Killers Daughter was a thrilling and captivating mystery. That kept me reading all day, as it was brilliantly plotted and full of intriguing characters. Not to mention, I genuinely had no idea who the killer was. And with plenty of twists I thought this was a great introduction to Dr Nadine Finch and Detective Clint Demko and I'm really excited to read more from these two in the future. Would happily recommend. **I was kindly provided with an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**

Agent Nadine Finch is called in to investigate when a young woman's body is found drifting in the Sarasota Bay. Nadine pretends this is just another case .. but deep inside she knows differently. Someone has started killing women in exactly the same way as another killer did 20 years ago..... her mother. Even though she's changed her name, she has always known that the past wouldn't be far away. No one knows her past and she wants to keep it that way, but working closely with a detective to solve these cases is going to take a leap of faith. But the detective has his own secrets that he's bound and determined to keep hidden. With a unique plot and intriguing story line, A KILLER'S DAUGHTER is well written, filled with action. Suspense starting on the very first page makes this a real page turner. The characters are deftly drawn. There are twists and turns along the way that are riveting. The ending is explosive and totally unexpected. Many thanks to the author / Bookouture / Netgalley for the digital copy of this crime fiction. Nadine Finch has spent most of her life trying to run from her family’s legacy: murder. Now a criminal psychologist for the Sarasota police department, Nadine works closely with all types of criminals everyday. So when two bodies are found floating off Sarasota’s coast, Nadine is asked to help profile the murderer. The only problem is that the killer’s MO is almost identical to a murderer that she knows all too well... her mother. At the age of fourteen, Nadine was the star witness in the case that put her mother behind bars for murder. Not only did she testify against her mother, essentially sealing her fate on death row, but she was also the person who turned her mother over to authorizes in the first place. Now, nearly 15 years later, Nadine must visit her mother in prison to revisit her mother’s murderous past and get the missing details she needs to help her catch the new copycat killer. The twists and turns in this book are wild! Just when you think you have it all figured out, boom, the rug gets pulled out from under you. As a thriller/crime fiction junkie, the title of this book alone was enough to catch my eye. But once I got into the heart of this book, I couldn’t put it down. I mean, a chance to read about the child of a serial killer and how she tries to move on from and hide her past? Sign me up! The prologue gripped me instantly. I loved how the author inserted small snippets from the murderer’s viewpoint. At times I did feel that the writing was a bit choppy, but as the book goes on I could tell the author found her groove. As you read, you are able to get glimpses into Nadine’s childhood and events leading up to her mother’s trial. Nadine clearly has emotional scarring from her childhood, and I enjoyed being able to watch (read about?) her growth as she learns to allow people into her life. I’m glad this is the first in a series, and I’m looking forward to Nadine’s next adventure! Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture, and Jenna Kernan for the free digital ARC in exchange for my honest review.
