About this ebook

The devil has a name, and it’s Cristiano de la Rosa. On my wedding day, he was the last man I expected to see standing at the altar. He wants to make me his queen. His brother wants to rescue his princess.

Getting Cristiano to lose control becomes the name of the game, and the stakes are life and death. But as truth and lies blur, loyalty is tested, and our chemistry threatens to reach the melting point, the prize grows less clear. Either freedom no longer means what I think it does, or Cristiano is as devious as everyone says, and he’s mastered the art of playing my mind.

All I know for certain is that nothing is certain. And all you need to know?

This is a love story.

But even love stories have to end.

Book two in the completed, USA Today bestselling White Monarch series:

Violent Delights (1)

Violent Ends (2)

Violent Triumphs (3)

***ARC Provided by the Author*** 4.5 Stars Well, that was a cliffhanger. Egads that ending. Even as I saw it coming (for about 3% of the book so don't think this was even a little predictable) I was positive that there was just no way Jessica Hawkins would leave us hanging like THAT. Guess what? She did. She totally did. The ride getting there, to the end of the book, was a lot of fun. It was sexy, and unexpected, and well-written. This story grabs you and draws you in. You don't know what you think is going to happen, and when you decide you have figured it're wrong. I love Natalia and Cristiano is so layered, so interesting and so different from what I was expecting. But, to tell the how, or the why, I would have to ruin the surprise with spoilers...and we all know I won't be doing that. I enjoyed this title and I recommend it.

Violent Ends is book two in The White Monarch trilogy by Jessica Hawkins. This book begins right where Violent Delights ends, in the church with Cristiano and his new bride, Natalia. We follow Cristiano and Natalia as they navigate the first couple of weeks of their new marriage. Natalia continues to be naive, and a rather weak character overall. For me, I just can’t connect with her character. I really wish I could, and am hoping that her weaknesses have been portrayed so glaringly that if she does find some inner strength in book three it will be triumphant in Violent Triumphs. 😉 Cristiano was an enigma to me in this book. In Violent Delights he was singularly focused on claiming and possessing Natalia. Now that he has her, he is just not the same character to me. I’m hoping for more in Violent Triumphs. More strength in Natalia. More of the Cristiano from Violent Delights. And more Barto!! 😉❤️

I'm freaking out! Just when I get accustomed to how this is going to play out...Jessica Hawkins gives me another cliffhanger! Not everything is as it seems, I knew that from the beginning of book one, Violent Delights. Now Violent Ends tortures the readers with all we can have like a buffet as far as the eye can see. Possibilities and endless opportunities await yet the lock between us and all we could ever want, need, desire is impenetrable. One unbreakable lock separates us from everything...the key we need to enter the nirvana spread out before us is locked away in Violent Triumphs. Far out of our reach and just enough in our minds to torture is without even lifting a finger. Bravo Ms. Hawkins. If writing doesn't pan out psychological warfare might be more lucrative.😳 Just saying... The need I felt for Ends is underwhelming compared to the crackling anger floating through my body in a desperate ploy to avenge my need for Violent Triumphs. So be wary of others who have read Ends and avoid your friends post read, I'm afraid it will turn into some sort of zombie apocalypse with our greedy hands grabbing at everything between us and Triumph.
