The Dragon Family, Lochguard Highland Dragons #5 Jessie Donovan What do Fergus, Fraser, and Faye all have in common? Surname MacKenzie and fierce sibling rivalry! Add in that they are all causing headaches for their Clan leader Finlay Stewart, and you have a good idea of Finn’s dilemma! How do you corral the madness? Aunt Lorna’s away, Faye and Holly are pregnant, Fraser’s being Fraser and Fergus is fighting the Frenzy with his mate Gina. The Clan has put their foot down, they have had enough! But what to do? Finn has his own issues with 3 wee bairns! Thus begins the tale of The Dragon Family, a glimpse into the lives of the MacKenzies, the Stewarts and oh what a story it is! Murphy’s Law has nothing on this lively group. Nothing is really as bad as it seems, just more lively. But it takes some masterful interventions to divide and conquer this group of wayward dragon-shifters! I highly advise reading the first 4 tales to get a true picture of how things work, who the characters are, and how things got to be, before tackling this tale. Romance, humor, adventure and more are to be found in the story. I can’t wait to see what Jessie is cooking up next! I was given an ARC but the Review is all mine and freely given.

Jessie Donovan, thank you for this wonderful story of some of my favorite book people. I am a fan of revisiting characters from previous stories. THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAVE. The author has taken us back to several wonderful dragon shifter families, some with humans as part of the couple. Added to the family are babies--multiples no less. However, fans, never fear, she has given us steam, drama, humor, and wonderful characters new and old. For any of you fans who have read other stories, you'll be gifted or subjected to a McKenzie family dinner, overly protective dragonmen and their mates, pregnant mates, and baby tending. This is a shorter story than most yet it still has all of the aspects of the Donovan Dragonworld we all love so much. The story is complete with everything to keep those pages turning. Hearing that the story will shortly be out in audio just added to my enjoyment. The strongest of recommends for this one. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.

I absolutely loved this book. The author drew my attention in right from the beginning and wouldn’t let it go. She was able to keep me interested and entertained until the last words. I just love how the author puts a whole new spin on shifters and her imagination is great with the way she tells her stories. I cannot wait until the next story in this series is released.
