About this ebook

Twenty-three years ago, Azalyn Rippak Sulani had the misfortune of falling in love with a prince. It wasn’t long before she was chased away and forced to live a quiet life, working for a merchant family and trying her best to start over. However, after a group of aliens kidnap her and knock her unconscious, Azalyn wakes up in the Kelderan palace and comes face-to-face with the man who broke her heart. Because of certain circumstances, she has no choice but to stay in the palace. But to protect her heart and those she loves, she’s determined to find ways to resist the powerful prince and his secrets.

Prince Keltor tro el Vallen is heir to the Kelderan throne and must put duty above all else. Social connections, especially those with love involved, are dangerous. So when the only female who ever treated him as a man instead of a prince comes storming back into his life, it takes everything Keltor has to keep his distance and resist the lively, straightforward woman. Otherwise, he might start to wish for what he can’t have.

As Keltor and Azalyn start to realize that they fit better together now than in the past, they face a bigger problem. Namely, if a prince marries a commoner, there could be war. Can they find a way to recapture their love and start over? Or, will Keltor’s duty to Keldera trump all?

First of all I like to say "WOW!" This book was intense, emotional and overall page turner. This is the third book in the series so much has happened so much to blow your mind. As always I will start with the characters breakdown: King Keltor surprised me, I honestly expected him to be stoic and lack some humor. It was the way he was shown in the previous two books. However he was more of a lonely soul, all that he had to endure all that he had to ignore for the sack of the crown. It must be lonely having so much weigh in your shoulders. So his vulnerabilities made him so much more enjoyable. I loved that he cared about everyone before himself. Azalyn, when I met her in The Barren i knew she be interesting to read about. But she turned out to be pretty strong and smart, my heartache for all she had missed out on but it was great to see her making the best with the now. She will make a fine Queen someday I'm sure. This book had twists and unexpected secrets, you will NOT see them coming. But I can't deny the plot got intense and I found it hard to put the book down after the action picked up. I am also looking forward to seeing how the characters are going to end up. Especially Kelzal and Toralyn these two have made my curiosity peek and must know more. They will make you laugh too the book had plenty of it. This is an amazing series, give aliens a chance you won't be disappointed I promise you. Bad ass chicks and the strong men that appreciate them lol.

All in the Family..... Just more proof that family is everything real one can have. Keep it close. With his brother having colonized with his human mate to Jasvar and his sister also having escaped there, Prince Keltor is left waiting for the day he will become King of Keldera. Only now that he knows that the love he let get away 23 years ago and their son is under his protection after having been rescued from aliens, he is afraid he might lose her again only this time for good. Will Azalyn open her eyes again and find the only male she has ever loved looking down at her with the love she once thought he had for her and enjoy the company of a 23 year old son, she only glimpsed from afar for all his life? I so enjoyed the story of Keltor and Azalyn, it was so intriguing and surprising....So much is discovered and the anticipation of that had me rapt and glued to my kindle from beginning to end .

A second chance at love? Do a Prince and a merchant's daughter even have a first chance? Prince Keltor and Azalyn were young lovers. His family didn't find her suitable for the destined king and chased her away where he couldn't find her. Now, twenty-three years later, they meet again. She's been taken and beaten by enemies of the throne. Waking up in the palace to the face of her former lover was never a consideration. They both pretend time has removed all the old feelings. But has it? The author has taken characters we've met in other books and created a compelling story. I couldn't put it down from page one to THE END. We meet another side of the stoic Prince. A side that only one person seems to bring out. Azalyn loved him for himself not his position. Something he wants again. I loved watching them try to avoid their real feelings. The outside influences and enemies challenge their lives and families. Secrets revealed, passions ignited, enemies attacking, this one has it all, including a love story you won't soon forget. I love the world Ms. Donovan has created and look forward to more stories, more love, and new characters, as well as old friends, revisited. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.
