The chapters of the book are contributed by different authors, and that is what makes this book great! Each author is clearly passionate and knowledgeable about the topic he or she writes about. And while each chapter has plenty of depth, the book is still accessible to a novice (like me) to the subject of film studies. A must read for all film enthusiasts!

About the author

Jill Nelmes is a senior lecturer at the University of East London. Her research interests include gender and film and screenwriting. She recently spent two years studying screenwriting at UCLA and working in the film industry in Los Angeles.
