About the author

John F. O’Sullivan has written six books on educational technology, and five of those books are educational technology guides. His books include The Educational Technology Guide 2018, The UDL Educational Technology Guide 2018, UDL Technology, The Teacher’s Awesome App Guide, and Teaching Projects with Computers. John has had four separate careers in education. He currently works as a Librarian and an Assistive Technology Specialist. He started his career as a Special Education Teacher. He later became a Technology Integration Specialist.

John was one of the first special needs students in the modern system of special education. As a result, he was four years behind in reading because of educational neglect. His career in education was started out of a need to improve on a system that let him down as a child and with the hope of helping others. He believes the path for success for special needs students includes technology.
