Secrets will be unveiled and battles fought to the death as Will and Horace help Halt in ridding the land of a dangerous enemy.

Perfect for fans of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, T.H. White’s The Sword in the Stone, Christopher Paolini’s Eragon series, and George R. R. Martin’s Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire series.

I enjoyed seeing a mature Will have the opportunity to show off his Ranger skills. Halts backstory gets filled out more and we get to experience a new culture. Throw in one Horace and you've got a fun journey with some seriously lethal gentlemen. The book is lighthearted where it's needed and progressively builds up to a twist at the end. After reading The Siege of Macindaw, which felt a bit underwhelming, Kings of Clonmel felt like a buffet of fresh air and rekindled my love for this world Mr. Flanagan has brought to life for us.

Even though these books are meant more for the younger readers, I enjoyed them greatly. They really have a good story line and characters that you feel like you get to know over time.

I absolutely love this series, but it has become so incredibly easy to figure out the plot lines. it feels like character regression in some instances as they seem to fall for simple tricks that are all to obvious.
