I haven't read this last book yet but I'm about to start. This journey, this story that these 2 series of books on The Banished Lands have given me, is one of my all time favorites. Something that to me, is as a great a series as all time favorites like The Inheritance Cycle, and the new hit books from Red Rising. Thank you for such an amazing story and world you created! And by all means! Keep the story going if to can!

I don't know if you read these John but I just wanted to thank you and all those that helped you make these books possible. I've read both this series and the Faithful and the Fallen and I have to say your writing, and story telling skills are exquisite. It took me three days to read the last dozen pages or so of this book, not because I didn't have time or found it boring but because I knew it was the end, and I so dearly didn't want it to be. I saw how you left the book open for a possible third installment, if ever you do decide to continue this amazing adventure know that I would be overjoyed to delve back into the Banished Lands. Thank you John.

hands down one of the best stories I've read,from the original trilogy to the new trilogy,I couldn't put them down. It's a story that draws you into it, makes you feel a closeness to the character's in it, in their lives, the struggles and triumphs as well as their tragedies. An extremely well written series of books!

John Gwynne studied and lectured at Brighton University. He's been in a rock 'n' roll band, playing the double bass, traveled the USA and lived in Canada for a time. He is married with four children and lives in Eastbourne, running a small family business rejuvenating vintage furniture. Malice is his debut novel.
