This should have been so much better. There is no build up of a story. The aliens are on Earth and killing everyone and everything immediately. No real fight sequences of Avengers and Aliens. And it is extremely short, about 135 pages. Don't waste your money.

Hickman does it again, though as a huge Hickman fan, I am biased. It's like his other works in the sense that it has far more depth and intelligence than you can imagine, even though you know it will be great. It just gets better. The art is breathtaking as well. Another classic. Not for the kiddos!

Cruces que, sobre el papel, parecen imposible… pero que funcionan mejor de lo esperado. La idea de enfrentar a los Vengadores con los xenomorfos tiene algo de exceso, pero el cómic sabe aprovechar ese contraste entre superhéroes y horror biológico. Lo más interesante es el tono. No se limita a convertir a los Aliens en un enemigo más dentro del catálogo Marvel, sino que intenta mantener parte de la amenaza y la crudeza que caracteriza a la franquicia original. Eso le da un punto más oscuro de lo habitual en este tipo de eventos. A nivel visual, el resultado es potente. Las escenas de acción están bien construidas y hay momentos donde el caos y la sensación de peligro se transmiten con bastante fuerza. El choque entre la épica superheroica y el terror corporal genera imágenes llamativas y diferentes. Narrativamente, no busca profundidad extrema ni redefinir a los personajes, sino ofrecer un enfrentamiento entretenido y directo. Puede que no sea una historia imprescindible dentro de ninguna de las dos franquicias, pero cumple con lo que promete: espectáculo, tensión y un cruce que despierta curiosidad. En conjunto, Aliens vs. Avengers es una lectura divertida, intensa y visualmente atractiva, especialmente recomendable para quienes disfrutan de los “what if” a gran escala y de ver cómo universos muy distintos colisionan sin complejos.
