About this ebook

Gerald Wright works for billionaires. He never imagined he’d become one.

The former Navy Seal is a chauffeur by day, artist by night, so when hotter-than-ever ex-fiancée Suzanne Dayton interrupts his nude model sculpting class to serve him with inheritance paperwork from a man he’s never heard of, he assumes it’s a joke.

Turns out the joke’s on him. There’s just one catch. A big one.

And it might be Suzanne — in more ways than he ever dreamed.

Another fun read from Julia Kent/ Shopping for for an Heir by Julia Kent was was yet another hilarious ride through the world of billionaires and their girlfriends. This one was a bit more serious with the issues which it dealt with, it wasn’t all doom and gloom with a totally brooding hero. Gerald, a former Seal now turned chauffeur by day, sculptor by night hasn’t seen his ex-fiancee crashed back into his life. He hasn’t seen her for a decade and now she’s in his life with inheritance papers. But, even though they haven’t been together in years the old embers of attraction don’t take long to burst into flames. There were some serious issues dealt with in this tenth book of the series, but we still got a lighthearted fun filled story to while away a lazy, rainy afternoon.

The length of the story is a bit shorter than expected, but cute and sweet nonetheless. Being a current Bostonian, the references seem slightly cliché, but really nothing when compared to Gone, Baby Gone. good read!

In true Julia Kent fashion, this book had me cracking up from the very first chapter :D But you will find so much more than the typical for the author humour. The story is kind of a second chance romance with a healthy dose of fun, sprinkled with mystery and topped with some hotness :) Gerald and Suzanne are quite the interesting couple. Due to their past, there issues with trust, heartbreak and abandonment (mainly from Suzanne's side) that keep them from giving their relationship a second chance. The terror they lived through, while in the military, left them with scars that kept them from really living before their first meeting after finally coming home. Their journey towards each other is full of difficulties but they manage to find the way to their hearts. But nothing is ever easy. And danger follows them around every corner. And when you add to that the mystery of an ancient artefact, things can get quite confusing and difficult but definitely interesting for the reader :) So, to summarise, I quite enjoyed reading this story. It wasn't as full of humour as some of Julia Kent's other stories but it was still an interesting read, a beautiful story of second chances. This review was originally posted at Living In Our Own Story Book Blog. I received an ARC of the book in exchange of an honest review.

About the author

New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Julia Kent writes romantic comedy with an edge. From billionaires to BBWs to new adult rock stars, Julia finds a sensual, goofy joy in every contemporary romance she writes. Unlike Shannon from Shopping for a Billionaire, she did not meet her husband after dropping her phone in a men's room toilet (and he isn't a billionaire).

She lives in New England with her husband and three sons in a household where the toilet seat is never, ever, down.
