It’s been awhile since a tagline made me stop in my tracks and had my jaw dropping to the ground. “Ten years ago he killed my son. Today I married him.” I mean cmon how could you not pick up this book based on that alone! It is pure gold, goosebump worthy and better than anything, is for the latest novel from one of my favourite authors, the queen of the psychological thriller, K.L. Slater! This book is completely messed up in the best kind of way. I could not wrap my head around how Bridget could form any type of relationship with her son’s killer let alone marry him. I had so many questions and all throughout she had me second guessing her as to whether it was really love or a way to seek revenge. An eye for an eye so to speak. Of course you will just have to read this for yourself to find out! As always K.L. Slater keeps the reader engaged and completely captivated. There is a lot more to this story than meets the eye and she keeps it all close to her chest. The tension and suspense that is built up along the way has you on edge and feeling anxious, as you just know that there is going to be something big around the corner. In what I have come to expect from a K.L. Slater book, she does this in spectacular fashion and delivers another thrilling twist. The Marriage is a gripping page turner that I could not get enough of. A strong plot that has been perfectly executed, great characters and is K.L. Slater at her absolute best. I absolutely loved this book and I am certain that you will too!

I really don’t know how she does it but K. L. Slater just keeps on coming up with the most amazing stories – every one different from the last and this, her latest, is like nothing I’ve read before. The plot is so unusual. A situation where the mother of a man jailed for murdering her son and who then actually then goes on to marry that man is different to say the least! Add in the fact that the murderer is 20 years her junior and her dead son’s best friend who she has known since he was a child is definitely a ‘Wow’ situation. You know from that point that questions will arise, most notably, WHY? Does she have an ulterior motive? Revenge perhaps? Straight away the suspicions are there. The repercussions from family and friends – many of whom have their own deeply hidden secrets – adds to the mystery. Layer after layer of suspicion, clues and red herrings slowly build as the plot twists and turns and I was left quite breathless and whipping through the pages in order to unlock the secrets and motivations of a number of the characters involved. I had to force myself to pause in my reading a few times just to assimilate what I had just read as the various and shocking twists just came at me like a bolt from the blue and kicked away all my theories and expectations leaving me stunned. I cannot praise this book enough and, indeed, am raving about it to my book friends, my various book groups and anyone who’ll listen! What a story. Genius. Just genius!

My Review: Loved, loved, loved this book and the wonderful author who wrote it!!!!! What a shocking, twisty, unbelievably awesome book this was for me. I could not put this book down for the life of me. I picked up this book in the morning and finished it before going to bed. It was just that good. I look forward to reading more of your books. In fact I picked out Closer to read next. I’m on a mission to finish each and every one of your books. I want to start off by saying that I have read most of KL Slaters books and every single one that I have read is to die for. KL Slater is by far one of my favorite authors and if you ever read one of her books you would understand why. I do have to say though that out of all the books I have read by her this book was by far my favorite. The storyline is what grabbed me. A woman falls in love with the man that killed her son. Wow, that sentence in itself makes me want to know more. I don’t know if I have ever come across a book with that kind of plot. Now let’s talk about my favorite part of the book, the ending. That ending was the shocker of all shockers. I nearly had a heart attack. That ending had too many twists and turns to count them all. I actual had to reread the ending to make sure I was seeing it all correctly. KL Slater really out did herself on this one. I had picked this book up while it was on sale and boy it was so well worth the money I paid for it plus much much much more. Thanks again for being such a great writer and please continue to write many more books so I can love those too. Lastly, the characters, plot, and the ending of this book made this an easy and fast read. I would definitely recommend this book and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
