Colorado K-9 Rescue by Kathleen Donnelly is a suspenseful story. I liked the characters, Evan and McKenna. I felt for McKenna who had been through a horrifying ordeal and now her attacker is on the loose again. There was palpable chemistry between McKenna & Evan. I liked that the author kept the mystery at the forefront. There are twists & turns that keep things lively. There are red herrings as well to keep a reader off the trail of the guilty party. I enjoyed this thrilling tale!

(4.4) Sitting on a screened in porch with bear wire, caught my attention. Thoroughly enjoyed McKenna's role as Victim Specialist with her canine Mocha at the FBI. Evan has transferred to this branch in his continuous push to climb the ladder. This plot had a lot to unpack, with what happens in the real world, how people don't want to get others in trouble and more. Not only do we have McKennas harrowing past but new victims. Fantastic book!!!! The story is compelling and has plenty of action and romance. I loved the characters and loved how they came to life on the page. They had depth and heart, and the author made me feel invested in their story. If you enjoy the genre, you will love this book- it's fast paced romantic suspense at its best. The author is on my must read authors' list.
