About the author

Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, Kay Xander Mellish is a leading authority on Danish working culture. The author of five books, she hosts the popular "How to Live in Denmark" podcast, which has run for more than 10 years with over 2 million downloads. Originally from Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA, Kay holds degrees in journalism and art history from New York University. She has worked for Fortune 500 corporations on both sides of the Atlantic, including Disney and News Corp in the US and Carlsberg Breweries and Danske Bank in Denmark. Since 2012, Kay has been an independent culture trainer, assisting small, medium, and large Danish companies working across cultures, and has coached hundreds of newly-arrived executives on adapting to Danish life and Danish business practices.
