About this ebook

Jessica's had the nightmares for as long as she can remember. Nightmares of being judged for people who have died, of being branded by the angels. Her friends and family think she's a crazy because of it all. Yet she carries the mark of the condemned, seared into the back of her neck, and hides it and herself away from the world.
But when two men she can't ignore enter her life everything changes, including the nightmares. The two of them couldn't be more different. She will do anything to be with one of them. Even tell him the truth about angels, why she never sleeps, and the scar on the back of her neck. But one of the two has set events into motion what will pull her toward her own judgment and turn her into the object of her greatest fear.

Interesting premise, but that's this story's only redeeming quality. Unrealistic and non-relatable characters; clumsy and unrealistic character development and motivation; stiff, generic dialogue; exhaustingly predictable conflict... and I'm just getting started. I could honestly go on for another several paragraphs detailing the many irritants I endured while reading this story.

Branded kept eager to see what was going to happen next. In the first part of the story. You are drawn to each characters lives. As the story progresses. You come to know them. Yet each time there is something new brought out. It was like a movie I could see in my mind vividly. I give it a big score. Because, I couldn't wait to see what happens next. Good read for me.

I loved every second of this book! I literally couldn't put it down. I spent most of my Monday reading it and it only took me a day and half to read it all. I felt so connected towards Jess and Alex, and was so happy that they brought in the father (spoiler). I cried at the ending. I have never cried at a book before. Just began reading the second book and it feels like I've never left. My new favourite book, might just re-read it!
