4.5 Stars for The Boyfriend Effect ( Frisky Business, Book 1) If this book is anything to go by the Frisky Business Series is going to be a fun, entertaining ride. Hayes and Maren have known each other for what seems like forever, he is her brothers best friend and that means he should be off limits but we can’t always control our hearts and her heart wants him..... Hayes is not boyfriend material but it’s a Maren he goes to when he needs advice on changing his ways and that’s when the fun and games begin..... What do you do when you both realise the person you want is right in front of you, do you risk the friendship and hope it withstands the journey you are about to embark on and what about crossing the line with your best friends sister are you prepared to risk that friendship as well ....guess you need to read the book to find this out. This book ticked my boxes, the banter is witty, the chemistry is sizzling but it was the friendships that took this book up a notch for me. I’m excited for this series and can’t wait for the next instalment. Great start to a new series from the very talented Ms Ryan

This is book one in The Frisky Business Series and it is Hayes and Maren's story and what a great start to a new series. Kendall Ryan is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows to keep her reader's entertained. This book was a real page turner and I couldn't put it down and it was so addictive. Hayes and Maren were perfect for each other and they had the connection and chemistry between them to make it work but boy did they fight it as Hayes is Maren's brothers best friend and that is always a no you do not go there but sometimes you just have to suffer the consequences. I loved this book so much and I definitely recommend you read this book and others by her and you will definitely not be disappointed. Hayes is a workaholic who lives with his grandma and owns an adult toy company with some friends. He has known Maren/Dove, 25, since she was in kindergarten and she is his best friend’s sister. Hayes has never had a long term girlfriend and has been attracted to Dove, but didn’t date her because of his friendship with her brother. Dove is a social worker who works at a nursing home and Hayes helps her plan a fundraiser and she becomes even more attracted to him. When the group of friends takes a trip to Haley’s grandmother’s lake house they end up sleeping together but then guilt takes over. Will Hayes and Dove talk to her brother about their feelings? Can they find happiness together? I loved this story about falling for your best friend’s sister. They had known each other for years but never realized the connection. The author did a great job showing how their relationship developed from friends to more and how the role their families played. I loved the epilogue and highly recommend this book.
