Shifters can live their lives and be who they are without fear. It’s the perfect place to settle down. And even when things don’t go exactly as planned, love always finds a way.

Each book in this series is short and sweet with mild or no spice.

A lovely little snippet. I presume its purpose is to introduce Thornapple Valley as the series setting, a safe haven for mixed species. The story is simple. A mixed human-shifter family who have been discovered by a hunter take refuge in a forest inhabited by a lone shifter. They treat him as their their alpha which he rejects. Ignorant of living a shifter life, the daughter implores him to teach her how to hunt and she will teach her family. After a while she and the lone wolf go into the nearby town where they are approached by a woman who tells them of a a refuge where they can safely live together. They accept. There is a love story involved.
