Emma Lou the Yorkie Poo is back with another enticing children’s book – this time it is all about the practice of mindfulness. Now I have to admit as an adult I struggle with wrapping my head around what mindfulness actually is, so this book was a perfect read for me as well! Aimed at children with delightful characters Emma Lou the Yorkie Poo and her friends Pearl and Gigi the Gentle Ginormous Giraffe will take you on a journey through what mindfulness is in a way that children will understand.

This one is a must have for any young child, especially the way mental health is playing such a high role in the younger generation. On top of which, the characters are absolutely delightful, and the activities are really fun too. The author explains mindfulness, staying in the present, and focusing on yourself, your feelings, and sensations, in small easy steps that a child can understand, and will want to learn more about.
