A tender, sexy story of family relationships and long-time unrequited love.

Attraction explodes between Fiona and Christian when they met on the day he marries Jan, her beloved sister. The only way Fiona has coped is by hiding on the far side of the world. The only way Christian has coped is by leaving on business whenever she visits her family back home in New Zealand.

After five long, frustrating years Fiona has the heart-wrenching six-week assignment of caring for newly widowed Christian and his tiny daughter. Their mutual love and respect for Jan holds them apart.  Will their lost love ever be given a second chance?

Billionaire Christian would rather spend time with anyone except the tempting woman who reminds him so much of his cherished wife. But Fiona has leave from her cruise-liner job and seems determined to do her family duty. Passion and temptation simmer between them as they get to know each other again. This sensual feel-good romance novel is heart-warming, steamy and bittersweet. How can craving the wrong sister feel so right?

About the author

New Zealander Kris writes sizzling contemporary romance, pure and simple. Well, maybe not that pure! They're sexy stories about couples who fall in love, and into bed along the way, just like real people do.

If it's fine, she gardens. If it's wet, she writes. And if the writing's going well, the garden can look after itself. She's an advertising copywriter and a decor specialist, and the author of 'The Boat Builder's Bed', of which more than two million were downloaded free. Giving away this taste of her work kick-started sales of all her other novels.

Her Heartlands series follows the girls who live deep in the New Zealand countryside. Her seven Wellington books are set in the capital city so she can make use of the beautiful harbor in the plots. She has also published two Sheikh novels, a Christmas novella, and a book of nineteen short romantic stories. She’s now writing the Scarlet Bay series – the first title published is Hard to Regret.

“I want this girl. I want her willing. I’d kill the others to stop them sharing her and then discarding her in the desert. I’ll teach this little blonde foreigner everything about obedience and the rewards that follow. Keep her safe for me. Until it’s time to send her home.”

An exciting hot romp in the desert. Laurel de Courcey is captured by terrorists, chained up in a disgusting bunker, and videoed for a ransom demand which is shown worldwide. Ooops - wrong hostage! Who'd expect a shy Kiwi nanny to be worth anything?

Laurel's soon tied up in sexy Sheikh Rafiq's bed instead, because he rescues her and appoints himself her personal bodyguard. Very personal. But she has good reason to distrust men.
Imprisoned in his old royal hunting lodge deep in the desert 'for her own protection', Laurel rebels. Spectacular fireworks, dangerous escape attempts, and an impossible love affair follow. This different and delicious sheikh romance is Kris Pearson's all-time best seller. Her passionate sheikh in this love story is a man to fall deeply in love with. If you enjoy this one, look for 'Desired by the Sheikh', too.

Warning: contains one red-hot Sheikh with a wicked tongue and unlimited stamina.
