The subject was pretty intense. Anna got a second life. Leif was badly injured and he is still having nightmares. They shared a morbid experience that has altered their lives. And I expected a lot more angst and emotional conflicts. But it was very laidback and simple. Almost sweet. Leif is such a good guy. He has great sense of humor and he is so supportive of Anna and careful of her feelings. Of course he can be dirty and bossy sometimes but mostly he is a good guy. Who has been hurt in relationship too. But Anna has the worse hangover and she cannot trust easily. She is a strong woman who has been hit physically and mentally and I am proud of the ways she got control of her life. This was an easy flowing romance where you see Anna and Leif's love coming alive piece by piece. It didn't have much drama. It didn't have too many twists and turns. Review | Rezension: Kylie Scott did it again! The way this story is written you cannot stop reading it. It's fluid, reasonable and I fall in love with Anna & Leif. The story is written from her Pov & is magnificent & is full of interesting twists & definitely a must read! I love the part that Clem & Ed have their Appearance in this book too. Die Geschichte ist so gut geschrieben, dass ich gar nicht mehr aufhören konnte. Der Schreibstil ist flüssig und die Charaktere verhalten sich nachvollziehbar. Ich habe mich einfach in die Geschichte von Anna & Leif verliebt & wird aus Annas Sicht geschrieben. Ich habe alles geliebt und werde auch lange nicht aufhören können darüber zu schwärmen. Es ist ein kurzes Buch, was innerhalb von paar Stunden gelesen werden kann, aber voller überraschenden Wendungen ist.

I absolutely loved this book! Although I loved Leif when we were introduced to him in Repeat, I hadn't anticipated a book for him, despite my wanting to see him in one so I was incredibly excited when I saw one was coming - and this definitely didn't disappoint. The book opens with Anna in the hospital waking from a coma. She had been in one for 7 months after having been in a terrible accident. Leif had also been in that same accident and despite being injured himself, had helped her while she was injured. Anna seeks him out to meet him and thank him. Both of them are reeling and dealing with their own recovery from the accident, but both are also coming from difficult endings to their relationships. Leif no longer trusts his own judgement, and is filled with guilt over his last relationship and how it ended, and Anna is still reeling from finding her husband found comfort in her best friend while she was in the coma. Together they form a friendship which turns into more. This was an emotional, sweet, slow burn romance. I love how Kylie Scott is able to inject humor even when dealing with such heavy topics. Although this is a standalone and you don't need to have read Repeat first to enjoy this and follow alone, I strongly recommend because it's a great book! I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book and have voluntarily left an honest review.
