About this ebook

Dive into the friends-to-lovers, fake fiancé romance that launched the #1 NYT Bestselling series!

It's not just the motion of the ocean, ladies. It's definitely the SIZE of the boat too.

And I've got both firing on all cylinders. In fact, I have ALL the right assets.

Fine, I might be a playboy, but I’m the playboy who’s actually a great guy. Which makes me one of a kind.

The only trouble is, my dad needs to close a deal and to do so, I need to look the part of the committed guy. So I ask my best friend and business partner to be my fiancée for the next week. Charlotte has her reasons for saying yes. But pretty soon all this playing pretend in public leads to no pretending whatsoever in the bedroom, because she just can’t fake the kind of toe-curling, window-shattering cries she makes as I take her to new heights between the sheets.

Trouble is, I can’t seem to fake that I might be feeling something real for her.

What the hell have I gotten myself into with this…big rock?

If you liked Drew Evan's in Emma Chase's Tangled series, then you will love this story! Spencer Holiday is a playboy by nature. He will be the first to tell you that he has the goods and knows how to use them. He enjoys treating women well in and out of the bedroom. Spencer is half owner of three Lucky Spot bars in Manhattan with his best friend, Charlotte. Spencer and Charlotte have always had each others backs and have even pretended to be each others fiances to get out of a sticky situation. Spencer also developed and sold Boyfriend Material, the hottest dating app that helps women find men. The only rule, men cannot post pictures of their goods! Spencer's dad decides he wants to sell his business, Katharine's, the best jewelry store in Manhattan so he can spend more time traveling with his wife. The seller is a goody-two-shoes who doesn't seem to like Spencer's lifestyle so Spencer decides to make up a little lie....he is engaged to his partner Charlotte. Now all he has to do is convince her to play the part for a week or so. Charlotte decides to go along with ruse. What neither of these two figured on was that their true feelings for each other would surface. I really loved the ride these two went on. They obviously had feelings for each other but neither of them wanted to ruin their friendship. The chemistry was just off the charts! Overall this was a fantastic read...funny, sexy and sweet all at the same time. I loved how even a playboy can change for the right girl!

It’s written in all-male POV. Usually, I’d love a dual POV, but this one got me all hooked just by being inside his brain. He might be a playboy, but he’s a great guy whom you can’t help but love. Our Spencer is charming, smart, sexy and has a big mouth that could bring him in trouble. This is what started it all – him telling his father business partner that he’s engage to his long-time friend, Charlotte. He needed to do this for his father. So that he can finally sell his business and retire and give himself that vacation he seriously deserves. Good thing, Charlotte easily said yes. She has her own reasons as well. Everything went pretty well smooth, until their playing pretend went a whole new mile inside the bedroom. Suddenly, it seems that everything wasn’t pretend anymore. Suddenly, emotions were starting to get involved. But what will happen when their ‘pretend-relationship’ will go public? You just have to love the two of them: their relationship was purely platonic at first, and everything just felt real with them not falling in love instantly. Instead there was that romance continuously building and burning between them. I like Charlotte, she might have some failed relationships, but she didn’t dwell on it. She was hurt, but she was up and was ready to move on. She’s brave enough to call on Spencer on stupid stuffs he does sometimes. This book got my jaws drop on the cover, had me laughing right from the beginning, had me squirming in the middle and kept me hook down to the ending. Just like every Lauren Blakely book, it’s all fun, sexy, and romantic. It is something you don’t want to miss this year. If you want to start your 2016 right and all-grinning: read this one! Big Rock is funny, oozing with hotness, sweet and short read wrapped in a very sexy package.

"We need a story"..."I got it! One Thursday night at The Lucky Spot, over a glass of wine after closing time, you made a joke about how everyone thinks we're a couple, and I said 'maybe we should be one.'" Spencer Holiday is what you'd call a ladies' man. Smart, self-confident, and, um, blessed with assets, he's had his fair share of fun. But when the sale of his father's business is contingent on Spencer towing the morality line, he has to come up with a plan. Enter Charlotte, Spencer's business partner and best friend since college. If they can convince everyone that they're madly in love, everything will be aces. A pretend engagement just for a week, and no one any the wiser. If only it was that easy... Oh, my goodness, did I love this book. BIG ROCK is the best example of why I fell in love with Lauren Blakely and her writing. This is a read full of heart, humor, sexiness, and romance, and it warms me right down to my toes. Spencer and Charlotte are the quintessential LB couple. They're both such great personalities, the kind of people that I would want to spend time with. The best thing about their relationship is that they're already friends, and already know the important things about each other. Their exchanges had me smiling throughout the entire book, and laughing out loud more than once. "Is that what you call me as your fiancée? Babe? Or is it sweetheart? Or something else? Snookums? Honey bear? Sweet cheeks? Snuffaluffagus?" "I assure you, it's not Snuffaluffagus." "I kind of like Snuffaluffagus..." These two have the kind of relationship that is so much fun to read. They love and respect each other as friends, and accept each other, warts and all. I really love, too, that this book is told from Spencer's point of view, and Lauren has nailed it. Guy think is done wonderfully well here, and I could not put this book down. The cast of supporting characters are awesome, especially Spencer's father and his sister, Harper, and his friend, Nick, whom I'm excited to be seeing more of in the near future. All in all, BIG ROCK is an easy 6 sexy, panty-melting, romantic, 'I can't get enough of it' stars. Everybody should be adding this to their TBR, because it is one of my favorite reads for this year.
