About this ebook

When the star receiver needs to rehab his rep, he turns to the only woman who can help… but fighting their desires is the toughest play of all. An addictive revamp of #1 NYT Bestseller Lauren Blakely’s popular sports romance!

I’ve been daydreaming about the off-limits player for years, and resisting him just got harder...

As the team’s publicist, I desperately need a football player to be the face of our charity calendar. Turns out our one-time party boy receiver Jones Beckett needs a savvy PR woman to manage his new good guy rep.

Sounds like a simple give and take, even though I’ll be traveling around the country, snapping pictures of the sexy athlete holding rescue kittens and puppies. Still, I’m dedicated to my job, so I'll stick to my iron-clad rule -- don't date a player. And never ever fall for one. No matter how charming, big-hearted and devilishly clever the man is.

Once I start spending my off-season days and nights with Jones, I'm following a brand new playbook, one that has me falling hard for the incorrigible flirt -- heart, body and mind.

But my job is at stake, and I can’t afford to lose that as well as my heart.

I really, truly loved this story about NFL Renegades star player, Jones Beckett and the team publicist, Jillian Moore. Jones has been secretly attracted to Jillian ever since he first laid eyes on her when he started playing with the Renegades, but she acted unimpressed and disinterested. Nothing came of his interest and he moved on to other women, quickly earning himself a reputation as a good-time guy and a player, but Jillian always held a place in his heart even when he didn’t know it himself. Jillian had noticed Jones when he first came to the Renegades, her attraction to him was kept under wraps as she didn’t want it to interfere with her job. She takes her work seriously and is always trying to find ways to make the team look good. She wants to do a calendar shoot for animal charities and her boss suggest that Jones would be the perfect model. Being forced to work together finally gives them the chance to get to know one another properly and as time passess, Jillian realizes she was wrong about Jones. Yes, he’s a lady-killer, and a huge flirt, but he also has a huge heart a well as those BIG hands. I really adored all things Jones. He was sexy as sin, but fun and flirty too, it’s no wonder Jillian finds him so tempting. So, when she gives in, she is all in. Heart and soul. There isn’t a tremendous amount of angst in this story, it just all boiled down to belief and conviction. Of knowing what you to do over what you should do. I’m looking forward to maybe getting some more stories from this series. Harlan needs one for sure. Trevor too. I thoroughly recommend this book to Lauren Blakely fans, new and old.

Someone pass me a number 86 Renegades jersey because I have a new favorite player to root for.  Most Likely to Score is everything I could have hoped for. After reading Most Valuable Playboy, I was desperate for Jones and Jillian's story. To say I was not disappointed would be a giant understatement. I LOVED it!! This book was super flirty and sweet. Not to mention hot!! (Ahem, fantasy enactment scene.) With Jillian Moore being the team's PR woman and Jones Beckett being the star wide receiver, the forbidden element was absolutely delicious. Labeled as the team's "player", Jones Beckett is in need of an image change to please his sponsors. Jillian comes up with an idea of a charity calendar that will help both Jones’s image as well as elevate her standing in her quest to earn the new VP position. The project causes them to travel and spend a lot of time together - including an overnight stay in another city. As time goes on feelings grow. Since she works for the team and he has a reputation, they know they shouldn't be together. The tension builds and it's was sooo good!  Jones flirtatious nature, his charisma, and his charm, has made him one one of my favorites. The heart on that man gave me all the swoons. The player reputation and negative headlines do not take away what a great guy he is. He is a perfect counterbalance to Jillian. I completely adored her!! She is so smart and professional and she's not afraid to unleash her quick wit and sass. I loved loved loved their chemistry and their banter.  Most Likely To Score is a perfect pass into the end zone for a game winning touchdown and I can't get enough of it. I kind of want to reread it immediately. Lovers of Lauren Blakely, sport romances, rom-coms or just really good stories should pick this book up ASAP. You won't be disappointed.

Most Likely To Score is yet another out of this world delightful story by Lauren Blakely about a love that can't be denied. Jones Beckett as the very talented wide receiver and former playboy would like nothing more than to clean up his image with the help of one Jillian Moore, publicist for his football team. These two have been secretly lusting for the other for more months than either of them wish to admit and as they find themselves spending more time together for the good of Jones's reputation, they get to see each other in a different light and somehow they fall even harder for one another. A few days in Miami for a calendar shoot turns into a 'one-time' tryst that Jones and Jillian can't help but savor and soon they wonder if they'll be able to still keep things platonic once they are back home. Once again, I love how the author doesn't play games with her characters. There is plenty of angst in just having Jones and Jillian trying to stay away from each other, knowing they could jeopardize both of their careers if they suddenly exposed their affection to the public. My heart broke for both of them as each look of longing or slight touch when others were present had to be kept private. They both wanted to put their hearts on the line but at what cost? The playfulness between Jones and Jillian is full of respect and desire and it was a joy to watch as they try and figure out a way to be together for more than just a weekend. And of course, no Lauren Blakely book would be complete without the requisite scene-stealing animal, since they always find a way into both our hearts and those of her characters. In addition, the symbolism used with respect to Jillian's Chinese heritage was a welcomed bonus. Writing about something that is close to the author's heart gave this story that true cherry on top. It's those kinds of details that set her apart and why I truly adore her work. 5 solid stars!!
