I knew I would enjoy The V Card. When you have two insanely talented, highly entertaining, rom com geniuses collaborate on one project, it’s destined to be magic. This light and sexy best friend's little sister/ friends to lovers romance has it all - heat, humor, heart, and lingerie. The V Card is a total must read. Playboy Graham is in jeopardy of losing control of the business he started with his late partner and best friend. To convince the board to keep his vision alive, he enlists CJ to help. But, CJ asks for a favor in return. At 25, she is a successful, charming, intelligent woman who also happens to be inexperience in all things sex. She is ready to lose her v card and Graham is the only person she wants to teach her all the ways of seduction. They agree to have one week of "lessons" with no emotions. But that proved to be harder than they believed. Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente bring the sexy in this book. CJ and Graham’s connection is second to none. I just adored these characters. I loved how much they care for one another even before they started their lessons. I hope The V Card won't be the last collaboration between Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente. I was extremely impressed with the ease and flow of their combined writing.

**Advanced copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review** What do you get when you put two of the most talented romance writers out there together to write a book? An instant winner! That is exactly what The V Card is. Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente are great in their own right and together, this is a wonderful, witty and romantic collaboration! CJ Murphy seemingly has it all. She runs a business, she's got great friends and a great apartment, but at nearly 26, the one thing she still has that she wishes she didn't is her virginity. She's dead set on finally losing her V Card and she knows just who she wants to take care of it - her brother's best friend and business partner, Graham Campbell. Graham Campbell has just had a huge curveball thrown at him. The board of directors of his company isn't sure he should stay in the CEO roll now that his business partner, Sean, has passed away. Knowing that reaching out to CJ, Sean's sister, could help his cause due to her large stake in the company, he does so, but what he doesn't realize is she has a proposal of her own for him. She wants him to serve as her sexpert. Once Graham agrees to help CJ out, they start their lessons and sparks fly immediately. Can the two of them really go through this series of "lessons" without feelings getting involved? Or will this end up tearing their friendship apart? I was immediately immersed in this story. It was witty, sexy, silly, fun and definitely full of heart. I always enjoy the writing of both Blakely and Valente, but putting their talents together was definitely a recipe for success! I would love to see another collaboration from these two talented ladies in the future!

I love Lauren Blakely’s writing and devour her books, but Lili Valente is new to me, so I wasn’t sure what to expect from this co-authored book, well, let’s just say, I’m going to be looking out for more books by Lili. I loved this book. It was fun and sexy. It’s a quick read but complete, it wasn’t drawn out and it felt like the story had everything it needed, I didn’t ever feel like I was missing anything. I hope Lauren and Lili decide to team up again because the finished product is addictive and enjoyable. With plenty laugh out loud moments. I loved the Die Hard references, I was chuckling away, because, let’s face it, we’ve all quoted John McClane, right? I’d love to have Luna and Valerie’s story. Graham and CJ are fantastic, I loved them together so much, who doesn’t love friends to lovers, right? Graham is your typical sexy alpha guy, who has a dose of cockiness, and sweetness about him. I loved that he didn’t just dive in with CJ’s request, he thought about it and even sought help from a friend but in the end, he cared enough to help her. CJ is one awesome chick, she’s strong and feisty and knows what she wants. She hasn’t had the easiest time, and I loved that she didn’t come across as something being wrong with her because of her age, It was just something that hadn’t happened for her yet, some of us have been there, and it was a nice change of pace to other virgin stories. The fact that they had a shared loss, and kept thinking about that for different reasons made them seem even more suited and added an emotional layer to their characters and relationship. The banter they shared was perfection, I’m a sucker for good banter, and they had it in spades. The progression of their relationship was fast, I mean, it had to be, just look at the premise of the book. It’s a one-week deal, so they had to fall in love within that time, with that being said, it worked. It didn’t feel rushed, the way they started to develop feelings felt organic to them, and the experiences they were having. Let’s not forget the super-hot sex, the sex scenes in this book are going to melt your device, and they work so perfectly with the story. let’s move on. I adored their friendship, and that it played a pivotal role in their story, they were still friends throughout and worried about that aspect of the relationship. Was I annoyed at their lack of communication towards the end? Heck yes! I was shouting at my phone as I read and later listened to them make assumptions, rather than just telling the other how they felt, for the record that part didn’t change in the audiobook. (Don’t tell Graham but I’m inserting an eye-roll emoticon here). Thankfully my shouting didn’t last too long and their happily ever after started just as it should. The inclusion of the two epilogues worked really well, and I loved both of them, but that’s all I’m going to say because I want you to experience them for yourself.
