Redeemed

Legend of the Grimoire

Book 6
Leah Ross

The Aeon Grimoire’s final adventure takes Teagan and her crew to the land of the famed treasure hoard at last. But the journey goes every kind of wrong and they find themselves split up and fighting for their lives. With the odds decidedly not in their favor, they’ll need every resource just to survive—including ones that they thought they’d lost.

Teagan is so close to realizing her life’s dream that she can almost taste it. But there are insurmountable obstacles in her way, and she doesn’t know if she can make the sacrifices required to achieve her goal. She’s torn between success and honor, and her decisions will affect everything.

William is bound and determined to save the world. He’s already lost so much in the name of love and honor. He doesn’t realize just how much more he has to lose, though, and before he can gain anything back, he has to lose it all.

It all ends here, one way or another. Everyone has something to prove, but the redemption they seek might be too far out of reach.

Second born. The heir’s spare. It’s been Oron’s position for his entire life. Suddenly, he’s ripped from his adventurous pirate life, summoned back to Sehaann. The princess is dead and Oron is next in line for the throne. Reluctant, resentful, the prince feels obligated in his duty. The new role doesn’t fit him at all, though, and he finds much more than he expects within the palace walls.

As captain of the Royal Guard, Deven is entirely too good at his job. Recognized as the country’s best fighter, he’s sworn to protect his people and his prince with every skill in his arsenal. His vow of service is paramount, even more important than heartfelt promises left behind in childhood. To be a Knight of Sehaann is to fight for prince and country. There’s no room between the constant stream of political threats for distracting emotion.

Kavian is the palace’s finest pleasure slave. Distraction personified. Property of the crown, his job is only to ease the stress of the privileged aristocrats who have need of him. He sees the things that the nobles hide from each other and hears their secrets. He would be a formidable enemy if those who used him bothered to give him a second thought. No one realizes that he’s an even more dangerous ally.

Three lives are hopelessly tangled together in a web of jealousy, duty, and ambition that none will escape unscathed. With opposition in every corner and every watchful eye looking for a weakness to exploit, one wrong move means treason, war, even death. All of them must decide where their loyalties lie and which sacrifices are just too much to bear. Oron knows one thing for certain, though. If he’s going down, he’s going down fighting.

In a land where status defines a person’s entire life, a young man struggles to find his place among those who reject his differences. Too royal for piracy but too savage for palace halls, he doesn’t fit anywhere. It’s practically impossible to meet everyone’s lofty expectations when they all want nothing more than for him to fail. If only someone would give him a chance to prove his worth.

Left behind in Sehaann and seething with bitterness, Oron is an outcast in his own land. All he wants is to be back with his pirate brethren and enjoying an adventure. Instead, he’s deeply mired in complex politics, stuffy etiquette, and the resentment of his peers. He’s stuck in hell, and he doesn’t know if he’ll ever get out.

Deven is the most promising fighter among the top squires training to become Knights of Sehaann. His future is well-defined, his career as a royal protector assured. Though he wasn’t counting on being entrusted with such responsibility before earning his knighthood, he accepts it gladly in order to keep his prince and new friend safe.

A young prince turned pirate who was never meant to rule. A squire destined to be a knight who will do anything for honor and friendship. Together, they will face every challenge and fight every battle with courage. It will take more than courage and honor, though, to win their toughest battle. It’s a battle that neither of them can afford to lose. Not when failure means losing everything.
