Leigh Bale grew up in the rural Western United States. As the daughter of a U.S. forest ranger, she saw some of the most beautiful back country in the world. Her parents taught her a deep and abiding love for family, country and God.
As a child of eight years, Leigh started writing plays and made her girlfriends act them out for the entire neighborhood. She has always been a voracious reader with a curious mind. She wrote her first full-length book when she was in middle school, and felt mortified when one of her classmates found and read the story. Years later, she gained the confidence to submit her work to a national publisher.
She has a degree in history and is a member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society, Romance Writers of America, the American Christian Fiction Writers, and the Faith, Hope and Love Chapter of RWA. She has worked for years in the education industry, but nothing is more important to Leigh than her family and the Lord. She is the mother of two adult children and lives in Nevada with her professor husband of twenty-eight years. Her favourite diversions are traveling with her husband, playing with her beautiful granddaughter and spending time with her family.
Leigh is an award-winning author of inspirational romance and she won the prestigious Golden Heart for best Inspirational in 2006. Her debut Love Inspired novel, The Healing Place, was published by Steeple Hill in December 2007. Her second book, The Forever Family, is an August 2009 release. She is currently busy working on her next book for Steeple Hill.
