Ratings and reviews

The three books that make up this series are very short, like a single story, split into three for no real reason. I struggled with the pacing, where some plot points dragged and others were so rushed that they made things clumsy and unbelievable. I enjoyed some of the world building, but the characters were pretty shallow and I had a hard time believing vampires as old as they are supposed to be, were this clueless. I prefer my vampires to be dangerous and this story was almost sickly sweet and filled with over the top happy endings....even one of the worst villains in the story sees zero consequences and you don't even find out the fate of another villain, which is incredibly frustrating. Spelling and grammatical errors and a few weird sentences with missing words were also annoying, especially in a story this short.

Familiar elements spun together nicely. Cliff hanger ending is frustrating however.
