About this ebook

Death and pain.

They surround me. Hold me hostage, refusing to let go.

But I want to survive. Want to fight. I just don’t know if I have it in me.

Maybe dying would be better.

It’s the break in the shadows that gives me hope.

When I look at him, all I can see is light.

So now I’m out to find freedom.

Private investigator Ryan Warden doesn’t know he’s moved next door to people he would put behind bars in an instant. Nor does he realise a sleepless night could lead him on the right track with the case he’s working on.

He certainly doesn’t expect Emerson Spence.

What he does know is he has to stay away from her. She’s been beaten and broken. She deserves to live freely while learning and experiencing things in life like any young woman should.

He’s too old for her. It’s better to stay away.

If he can.

Author's note: Out to Find Freedom starts out intense and dark, then moves into a very slow burn romance. It’s also set six months after No Way Out (Stoke and Malinda’s story from the Hawks MC: Ballarat Charter) but it can be read as a standalone.

I've loved all of the Hawks MC books. And, in one way or another, they have all been drama filled, emotional books. Just the way I like it. But this book is different. From both the other Hawks books, as well as most other romance stories out there. A good part of the book is about the struggle the heroine has to go through to get to her HEA. This isn't one of those books that is about a guy and a girl and how they are fighting an attraction to one another. This book is raw, and gritty, emotional and will leave your heart flayed open. Emerson is just a girl, struggling with the death of her father. Until betrayal, and horrific circumstances leave her fighting for her life, and her freedom. Through her struggle, she catches a glimpse of Warden, and he gets her through some of her toughest times. This book was absolutely amazing! I can't help but feel that Emerson is probably one of the strongest characters that I've read about. I don't want to say too much, give away too much, but her ordeal would destroy a lesser character. I adored her, and Warden, and their story struck a chord within me. It was a beautiful story of overcoming tragic circumstances and coming out stronger on the other side. This book is a must read, whether you are a Hawks MC junkie (like me) or are just beginning to read their stories.
