About this ebook

Bookish introvert Morgen Keller never thought she would have a midlife crisis. That was before her husband divorced her, her boss let her go, and her grandmother died.

Forty wasn’t supposed to look like this.

When Morgen inherits Grandma’s old farmhouse in the small town of Bellrock, Washington, it could be a chance for a fresh start.

There are just a few problems…

A fearsome werewolf has claimed the property for himself, Grandma didn’t die of natural causes, and, oh, she was a witch.

Embroiled in a mystery, and heir to powers she knew nothing about, Morgen must turn to the only person who might be able to help: the werewolf who threatened to rip her throat out for trespassing.

This isn’t the fresh start on life that Morgen had in mind.

A really fun read! I had gotten the first from my library and enjoyed it so much - and read through it so fast (too much fun to put down) - that I bought the set! AND the extra short that fits between books 3 & 4. I would LOVE to see more of this wild and wonderful cast of characters and their lives among Wolf Wood. I just might have to check out her other book series' in the meantime.

I bought the series when it was on a sale, thinking, "Why not? It is cheap, and if I don't like it, I will not be out a lot of money." I love it. The characters are "odd" but extremely relatable for me as an AuDHD adult. Dry humor. It definitely fits the bill for a "slow burn romantasy" as well. It gives just enough description for those of us who do not like graphic scenes. The witchy aspect is intriguing. I am on the last book now. I breathed a sigh of relief before coming here to write this review because I was not ready for it to end!

It was a good read. Not very spicy but it was interesting. I read the whole series. It did feel like there were some loose ends though. I also wasn't a big fan of the fact that the author felt the need to mention vegan stuff a lot. It kind of felt like she was trying to push an agenda with it. That aside, if you want a good read that is more on the PG13 side of things I would recommend it.
