This was fun! I'll be honest I was nervous for a good bit that this was one of those books where a bunch of characters have to die for the story to work but Lisa Blackwood crafted a beautiful plot with a real HEA for all the couples she introduces you to. It was enchanting and full of magic and shifters and gods being awesome. Definitely would recommend!

Excellent book. I cried, laughed and even grieved with the characters,thats how good the book is.. I was overjoyed when the king and his Blade finally confessed their love for each other

I really enjoyed this adventure with likeable and "hateable" characters and with just enough of a twist to keep reading into the wee hours of the night.

About the author

Lisa Blackwood is the author of the bestselling Gargoyle and Sorceress urban fantasy series. Her work has also landed on the Wall Street Journal and the USA Today Bestseller lists as part of the Dominion Rising Anthology. When she’s not reading and writing, she also enjoys gardening and spending time with her horse and her dogs.

At present, she grudgingly lives in a small town in Southern Ontario, though she would much rather live deep in a dark forest, surrounded by majestic old-growth trees. Since she cannot live her fantasy, she decided to write fantasy instead.
