it started out good,and then you learn that something happened to somebody at sometime. You don't find out what until the book is half over. by that time I didn't really care anymore. Some parts of the story were confusing and the rules didn't seem to make any sense.

No one has time to read War and Peace these days. This novel tells another piece of the story of The Sorceress and The Gargoyle avatars with enough detail that I feel satisfied with the knowledge, but not worn down by endless pages describing scenery. Intrigued enough to jump right into the next book. Away we go...

I had a feeling I would like the prime characters just from reading the synopsis and it proved to be true. A thorourly enjoyable read, now I'm ready to continue with the sequel

Lisa Blackwood is the author of the bestselling Gargoyle and Sorceress urban fantasy series. Her work has also landed on the Wall Street Journal and the USA Today Bestseller lists as part of the Dominion Rising Anthology. When she’s not reading and writing, she also enjoys gardening and spending time with her horse and her dogs.

At present, she grudgingly lives in a small town in Southern Ontario, though she would much rather live deep in a dark forest, surrounded by majestic old-growth trees. Since she cannot live her fantasy, she decided to write fantasy instead.
