These studies are included in the correspondence courses of the Bible Baptist Seminary of Fort Worth, Texas.

Other Seminary and Bible Institutes are investigating and in several instances have accepted Dr. Entzminger’s Studies as text books in their regular courses.

Dr. Entzminger’s books are just what the title implies – “Bible Studies,” and not just for reading.

The Bible should be opened in the hands of the student and all references carefully studied.

Invaluable to preachers, Bible teachers and to all Christian workers.

Volumes of letters of highest commendation could be published concerning Dr. Entzminger’s work. We give three or four:

Luther C. Peak, B.D., Th.M.’ L.L.D., says:

“… more original truths brought to light in Dr. Entzminger’s Studies than anything I have read, than any Commentary or Exposition on the Bible I have ever studied.”

The late Dr. Fred W. Dyson, Dean of Bible Baptist Seminary, and Director of Personnel, said:

“It has been my privilege to read and teach some of the books Dr. Entzminger has written, and I say unreservedly, that I can recommend them wholeheartedly to anybody that loves Bible study. They are sound, scriptural, sane and very suggestive. No preacher or Sunday School teacher or Christian worker can afford to be without them.”

Dr. Oscar Wells, Professor of Theology in Bible Baptist Seminary, says:

“I have found his expositions of God’s Word – truly nuggets brought forth from the refiner’s pen.”

About the author

Sunday school administrator and Baptist preacher, Dr. Louis Entzminger, began his service for the Lord with a great desire to work with the Sunday Schools of Baptist churches. He began to work on a system that would help to build and maintain such Sunday Schools. He was the originator of the six-point system that is so widely used today in most Baptist Sunday Schools as well as those of other denominations.

Dr. Entzminger is also credited for his help in building the largest Sunday Schools in America, either directly or indirectly. He was instrumental in the founding of the Fundamental Baptist Bible Institute which later became Bible Baptist Seminary and is now known as Arlington Baptist College in Arlington, Texas.

After more than eighty years of life, the majority of them in full-time service for the Lord, Dr. Entzminger slipped quietly away to be with the Lord. His life could well be summed up in the words of another: “Life’s race well won, life’s work well done, life’s crown well won, now, comes rest.”

A compelling memoir and account of the Independent Fundamental Baptist church and its shocking history of religious abuse.

Jocelyn Zichterman was born, raised, married into, and finally, with her family, fled the Independent Fundamental Baptist church. Founded by the fiery preacher Bob Jones, with several hundred thousand members, IFB congregants are told they must not associate with members of other Baptist denominations and evangelicals, with an emphasis on secrecy, insular marriages within the church, a subservience for women, and unusual child raising practices.

In I Fired God, Jocelyn Zichterman systematically details the IFB's disturbing history, exposing a cult-like atmosphere of corruption, greed, and abuse. Having been initiated into its innermost circles, Zichterman knows that the gentle demeanor America sees in the form of the Duggar clan on 19 Kids and Counting disguises the truth about the darker side of the church.
With written documentation and sources so thorough that law enforcement has used her work as a foundation for criminal prosecutions, Zichterman exposes the IFB with revelations including:

- The disturbing world of abuse within the IFB and doctors and teachers who cater exclusively to church members and fail to report physical and sexual abuse

- The IFB-controlled Bob Jones University, which issues degrees of questionable value while making vast sums of money for its founders

- The way the IFB influences politics on the local, state, and national level, and protects its abusive culture under the constitutional guarantee of freedom of religion

The Pattern for Scriptural Giving is an exposition of Genesis 14:17-15:1. The first verse of the fifteenth chapter certainly belongs to the fourteenth chapter; the chapter divisions, of course, are not inspired. First things in Scripture are usually patterns. The first place in Scripture where we have the act of giving set forth and described is in Genesis 14:17-15:1.
