About this ebook

How the hell did I, the perpetual bachelor, end up accidentally married in Vegas—to my client?

It’s soon as I find out who’s trying to kill her, we’ll get a quickie divorce…or will we? I was never supposed to be married. I was never supposed to fall in love. I was never supposed to put her in danger.

But now that she’s back in my life I wonder if some things shouldn’t stay in Vegas.

To keep her I’ll have to fight for her. Good thing I’m brazen enough to do just that.

Five-star romance with three-star suspense I loved, loved, loved Oskar and Hailey. These two are written so perfectly for each other; their connection is real and deep and oh-so-sweetly sexy. The two different rings was a swoon-worthy touch. Oskar is understandably driven to distraction by his need to protect and care for Hailey. She's got to wade through some harsh family truths and find her peace with who she is, all with Oskar right there by her side. Couldn't have been more perfect. The danger part of the storyline, however, felt like an afterthought. The initial thread that left us with the cliffhanger in the first book completely fizzled out, and the "real" threat came out of practically nowhere, leaving more questions than answers (Why target Hailey first? How would that have worked if her dad had chosen another security company? How did they all end up in that situation at the tuxedo shop in the first place?) but by this time, Oskar and Hailey are so stinkin' happy and cute together that we really don't care what the original threat was or whether it's been completely eliminated. It was great to see the entire Blake Security family back at work, and I appreciated the way the authors showed the maturing relationships between all the principles from all the books in this series. These are all wonderfully developed characters, and any book with them in it feels like Old Home Week. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

After the ending to Brazen I couldn't wait for Still Brazen. With that said for me Still Brazen fell a little flat for me. The suspense I look forward to in M. Malone and Nana Malone books was just not there. Because I love love M. Malone and Nana Malone it got an extra star. I enjoyed the steam factor between Oskar and Hailey. I also loved watching Oskar and Hailey's relationship grow. In my opinion Still Brazen focused more on the relationship and not who was trying to kill Hailey. My favorite chapter was 20, all I will say about it is I love the women of Blake Security. J.J. is the best and makes me laugh. Overall Still Brazen was a little lackluster and did not hit the mark for me. I would liked a twist of Oskar's past twisted with Evan's life. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance reader's copy.

The Viking finally meets his match. Oskar meets his new client. The one woman he has never been able to forget. Hailey can't believe the bodyguard she didn't want is the one man she wished she could forget. She'd had a couple of close calls with muggings or were they attempted kidnapping? Whatever her father decided she needed a guard while she worked on her once-in-a-lifetime project meant to prove her worth. So begins the reuniting of what began as a very steamy one-night-stand years ago. He knew he shouldn't touch her or want her. She was the client. She knew she shouldn't want him. He'd left her without a word in a hotel room after their wonderful time together. I love the entire cast. The guys give Oskar as much grief as he's given them as they make their relationships work. Their women are no sweet little obedient lambs. Must be something in the water because that certainly doesn't describe the lovely Haily. The clues as to who is the "bad guy or gal" isn't easy to figure out. The relationship is filled with steam and stress. While I'm not a fan of cliffys, knowing in advance that each character is a multi-book story makes it easy to accept--that and the fact the stories are unbelievably good. I've read them all and each time I think "this one is my fave." That holds true until I start the next. Don't miss this one or any. The continuing story is always just a few weeks away. I'm counting them down. Reviewed for Words Turn Me On
