Written as a fictional autobiography, in ‘Autobiography of an Assassin - The Family’, we are introduced to those unique individuals who make up the ‘Family’ - a collective of assassins and killers! The prequel, ‘The Here and the Now’, demonstrated the typical sheer conceited arrogance, which frequently makes up the character trait of a sociopath. Martin, the main character, went to great lengths to describe in detail, and mind numbing minutiae, the tools of his trade; his expertise and experience; and his vast network of clients and associates. Like all sociopaths and psychopaths, he his typically showing off – he is demonstrating how superior he is to the common man. Then, we got to see snippets of narrative, sometimes in graphic detail, which gradually extended his story. And, in the end, we got to see the real man behind the boasting mask of conceitedness. In the sequel, ‘The Family’, we are introduced to those who make up the ‘Family’ ... a diversity of individuals – some ‘damaged’, some not. In individual cameos, we get to meet them, a multiplicity of diverse characters. From the soft charismatic Irish charm of Patrick, to the steely fixed persona of Maaka - from the flamboyant John-Luke, to the studious academic Carl - from the bubbly Nicky, to the cold clinical Karen. They all have one thing in common. Like the rest of the Family - they are all killers! The Family, and their individual stories, are narrated sometimes in such a literal explicit manner, that some may find distressing and upsetting. But that is the nature of the animal ... that is the nature of man – and that is the nature of the Family. Now the story begins!

The girls in D section who source Giorgio’s messages and keep his secrets are looking forward to his return and looking forward to him livening the place up. In this lifestyle is a world of power and intrigue, and the invisible wealth of others. A secret, shadowy environment filled with cars, yachts and executive jets. There are some who live even deeper within this lifestyle. In an undefined tenebrous existence in the world of finance, there is always a price to pay, but who will pay this time? In this life of shadows, will they survive, with or without visible scars?
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Stephen King, the most riveting and unforgettable story of kids confronting evil since It—publishing just as the second part of It, the movie, lands in theaters.

In the middle of the night, in a house on a quiet street in suburban Minneapolis, intruders silently murder Luke Ellis’s parents and load him into a black SUV. The operation takes less than two minutes. Luke will wake up at The Institute, in a room that looks just like his own, except there’s no window. And outside his door are other doors, behind which are other kids with special talents—telekinesis and telepathy—who got to this place the same way Luke did: Kalisha, Nick, George, Iris, and ten-year-old Avery Dixon. They are all in Front Half. Others, Luke learns, graduated to Back Half, “like the roach motel,” Kalisha says. “You check in, but you don’t check out.”

In this most sinister of institutions, the director, Mrs. Sigsby, and her staff are ruthlessly dedicated to extracting from these children the force of their extranormal gifts. There are no scruples here. If you go along, you get tokens for the vending machines. If you don’t, punishment is brutal. As each new victim disappears to Back Half, Luke becomes more and more desperate to get out and get help. But no one has ever escaped from the Institute.

As psychically terrifying as Firestarter, and with the spectacular kid power of It, The Institute is Stephen King’s gut-wrenchingly dramatic story of good vs. evil in a world where the good guys don’t always win.
