About this ebook

"Full of Irish charm, sweeping scenery, and swoon-worthy romance." - Jay Crownover, NYT bestselling author

I need a wife if I want to help save my family’s billion-dollar pub empire. There’s just one problem: I never plan on marrying. So, I need someone who understands that this is just another business deal. I don’t do commitments. And my brother’s executive assistant, Fallon Smith, fits that bill.

Fallon needs help with her grandmother’s expenses, and her pretending to be my fake wife is a way we can make that happen. She’s not my biggest fan, but we can help each other and then go our separate ways. That she’s beautiful and I enjoy spending time with her–doesn’t matter. When all of this is done, she’s heading home to America, and I’ve got a company to run.

A fake wedding and a whole lot of whiskey. What could go wrong?

3.5 stars of sweet Irish bliss or man candy... Straight Up Irish has the slang and accents to turn me to putty. Seriously, this bird was ready as soon as Connor opened his mouth. Even if he calls me Not Erin, yeah I would. The Irish play boy and the American assistant sounds like a bad death match but makes for an entertaining arrangement. It's sweet with some very naughty fun and plenty of Whiskey to wet your whistle.

I thought this was an excellent book! While it's a typical marriage of convenience story, the characters and the writing made it fresh and unique. Connor and Fallon are wonderful together and they both have something to gain from the arrangement. I loved how gentle and kind Connor was with Fallon's grandmother. I truly enjoyed how the relationship between Connor and Fallon develops. So what began as a relationship between two people who really didn't like each other and were together as part of a business deal quickly turns into a truly caring and loving relationship. Will these two put their fears aside and give this thing a chance? I highly recommend this one.

Both Connor & Fallon have honourable motives for a fake marriage, but when their very real feelings get in the way, a second, long and hard look may be needed to iron out previously ignored details. I liked this story. This is sweet & steamy romance with a lot of Irish charm that will leave you wanting more of Connor & Fallon. Connor's easy-going humour helped the story flow and seem less forced, as did Fallon's feistiness and witty comebacks. I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book, which I received via NetGalley & Entangled Publishing.
