Marcus Webb is a highly respected PGA Golf Professional with over five decades in the game and more than 40 years of coaching experience. Renowned as a putting specialist, Marcus has built his career on a deep understanding of feel, technique, and skill — principles that underpin his coaching philosophy and published work.
Turning professional on 21 June 1982, Marcus enjoyed a successful playing career, winning multiple Pro-Am and Alliance events and competing at a high level during European Tour qualifying. While capable across all aspects of the game, it was his exceptional putting and green-reading ability that consistently set him apart.
As his career progressed, Marcus focused increasingly on coaching, retail, and player development. He has worked with England Golf, mentored PGA professionals, led junior county academies, and contributed to PGA education and qualification pathways. His commitment to professional development earned him Fellow PGA status in 2005 and Advanced Fellow status in 2019, alongside ongoing PGA Accredited recognition.
Marcus is the author of The Art of Good Putting – The Three Step Rule, a practical guide distilled from decades of elite coaching and competitive insight.
