Jack Falling is the golden boy of the Bay but Mira suspects he has a darker side especially when she starts receiving messages from long-dead, infamous murderers, which appear to incite her to commit unthinkable crimes against those who stand in the way of her dream.
One such person is Lily Holborn, the twin sister of Sebastian Holborn, whose wealthy family moves into the house across the street. Handsome and edgy, Mira sees in Sebastian an opportunity to escape Harvest Bay and pursue her dream of stardom. But Lily and Jack, and perhaps the whole town, have other plans for Mira.
A life-long lover of story, Maria Arena began tinkering with the idea of being an author in her teens. This idea became a reality in 2006, when Hachette published 'Mira Falling' (in paperback). After years of studying and teaching creative writing, Maria independently published her second novel 'Sisterhood' in 2014, while seeking publication for a third novel and writing a fourth. In between, teaching and writing novels, Maria plays around with short stories and co-runs a national short story writing competition at Field of Words.
