Mark Mireles has been training in the martial arts since 1977, with black belts in judo and Brazilian jujitsu and is currently is a professional mixed martial arts coach/trainer. As an amateur wrestler, he earned All American honours. Mark is a veteran officer with the Los Angeles Police department where, besides his regular duties, he is a certified law enforcement defensive tactics instructor and arrest and control expert as well as a two-time recipient of the Medal of Valour, the highest award for bravery given by the LAPD.
Loren Christensen was still a rookie on pro-bation when his police agency recruited him to teach defensive tactics to new officers hired just a few months after him. Since then he has trained countless police academies, in-service officers, transient sys-tem authorities, security agents, hotel security personnel, mental health nurses and criminal justice students. Loren began his martial arts journey in 1965 and over the decades of continuous study has earned 10 black belts in three fighting arts: 7th-degree black belt karate, 2nd-degree black bell jujitsu. and 1st-degree black belt arnis. He borrows from these disciplines as swell as other fighting arts to show you how to make your restraint. control and self-defence tactics more effective, more painful, safer for you and safer for the suspect.
