I think what I expected when I picked up Love So True was something more standard and filled with cliches. I probably would have liked it, but no way would I have loved it nearly this much. The characters are unapologetically real, and the chemistry between them is incredible. It's the kind of love story that had me rooting for them before they even laid eyes on each other again, and I loved following along as they made their way toward happily ever after. The only problem I really had with the story was the ending. The book is rather short, and the author managed to pack some serious emotion and sizzling scenes into it, but what all that awesome leads up to is rushed and a bit confusing. One moment Lucas is running, and then he's not, and then it's over? It just felt like one more chapter, a chance to follow these two lovebirds just a little further would have made this the perfect read. ***FicCentral received this book from Wordsmith Publicity for free in exchange for an honest review.

I needed a lot of Kleenex for this one. Love So True is a well crafted read. Lucas' journey through regret, redemption, understanding and love tears at the heartstrings. It is never an easy thing to ask for a second chance. Yet Lucas' humbled himself and had to do so repeatedly. Ultimately his actions proved what his words could not. THAT HE HAD CHANGED, LEARNED FROM HIS MISTAKES AND DESERVED A SECOND CHANCE. Bailey was my favorite character in this story. She gave Lucas the benefit of the doubt, when nobody else would. She chose in her heart to believed in him and her faith was what carried him through. Love So True is an endearing story and consider myself blessed to have read it. The best hour I ever spent. I received a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.

4.5 star read Lucas is trying to make up for past mistakes, returning home to repay the money he embezzled from people. Bailey tries to help Lucas out, knowing what its like to be talked about. the two end up in a steamy romance with a few ups and downs and a bit of growing up left to do. overall a great story. 2 things are holding me at 4.5 stars instead of 5. 1. if Lucas has this money in the bank, why does he nearly starve to death walking home for 8 days? 2. towards the end of the book Bailey's trust in Lucas is tested and I personally think it is resolved to easily and not a true test
