About the author

Martina King, geb. 1962, ist Professorin am Lehrstuhl für Medical Humanities an der Universität Fribourg und setzt sich dort für ein neues, transdisziplinäres Verständnis der Medizin ein. Sie selbst hat in Literaturwissenschaften und Medizin promoviert sowie in Germanistik und Medizingeschichte habilitiert. Im September erscheint "Das Mikrobielle in der Literatur und Kultur der Moderne. Zur Wissensgeschichte eines ephemeren Gegenstands".
