Shielding the Amish Witness by Mary Alford has Faith Cooper St. Clair on the run after witnessing her brother-in-law kill his wife. She has crucial information that could put him away. Faith knows that he cannot let her live. She heads for the one place where she knew love and safety which is her grandmother’s home in West Kootenai, Montana. Faith just needs to make there alive. Shielding the Amish Witness is a fast-paced suspense novel. It starts off with a bang with the story zipping along until the conclusion. I thought this story was well-written with complex characters. The story is told from Eli Shetler and Faith’s point-of-view. It allows us to get to know each character plus what they are thinking. It is an intense story full of action, violence, and faith. I was happy that there was an epilogue that nicely wrapped up the book. I enjoyed catching up with Aaron and Victoria Shetler from Covert Amish Christmas. I look forward to the stories of the other three Shetler brothers. Shielding the Amish Witness is a story that you will keep you riveted until the very last page. Shielding the Amish Witness is spellbinding tale with burning bullets, rapid buggy rides, a near fatal fire, a malevolent murderer, essential evidence, and a culpable conscious.
