I think I’m biased but I think science fiction is by far the most fascinating genre of all. It explores all that is possible. Dream Phaze – Germination has interesting characters, a kickass plot around dream immersion and it is based in reality. Dream Phaze is engaging, it poses moral questions, but overall it is entertaining. That’s what I want in a sci-fi novel, to be transported somewhere else, somewhere fascinating.

Brilliant! Dreams as mainstream entertainment just makes so much sense once we crack the code to create engineered dreams. All good science fiction has to create its own world and lexicon. Sure, there is some technical jargon in the story, but hey, there’s a glossary, and the lingo makes this story even more credible. Dream Phaze is a predictor of times to come…and hopefully before I die! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Dream Phaze - Germination was recommended to me as I love realistic near future sci-fi stories. If I could live in this type of future, I would! Matt Watters has a gift for writing credible dialogue for realistic characters. The short dream experiences at the beginning of each chapter are captivating, creating a unique storytelling format. I can't say that I've read any novels on dreams from this point of view. I highly recommend this novel if you enjoy sci-fi with an emphasis on realism, while at the same time exploring dreams as they could be. Loved it

About the author

Matt lives in Sydney, Australia and works as a course developer and writer in the Community Services sector.

'This narrative began as a short story in 2014. Over subsequent years it evolved through several plot, character and title iterations until Dream Phaze emerged as an episodic series published online in 2018. These episodes, collectively known as Germination, are now an ebook.

Dream Phaze - Imagination, the second ebook in the series, will be released in March 2021.
