The Pastor's Hope is a Christian, inspirational, second chance romance and a delight to read! All the characters are so well portrayed and became very real friends to me as I followed Nate and Amanda's journey. Their children Hayden and Ivy nearly steal the show. This wonderful book is about dealing with grief, second chances, God's timing, and making choices about the direction your life will take. You may need a tissue or two, but this well written book has plenty to laugh about with matchmakers, the always exuberant Ivy and dance lessons for the soon to be wedding attendants. I did not get anything done until I finished the book!

Saving lives An excellent and uplifting Christian book that grabs the reader’s attention from the first page. Ms Whistler has her readers alternately laughing and crying while also holding their breath in anxiety and fear for the safety of her characters and shaking heads at the misguided perceptions of the adults in this inspiring novel. Nate experiences an epiphany in his faith while, almost inadvertently, leading Amanda to renew her belief in God.

The Pastor’s Hope is a sweet story. I found the story easy to read with steady pacing. The characters are likeable & relatable. The author developed the main characters, & they had growth despite the length of the story. I was not a fan of the age difference between Nate and Amanda being such an issue. A person’s age is just a number. In The Pastor’s Hope, we get to see two people dealing with grief, anger, unforgiveness, and regret.
