Travel related illnesses are also discussed with remedies and explanations of the causes given.

About the author
Melinda Uys holds a BA and BEd from the University of Queensland, is a secondary English Literature, Ancient and Modern History teacher with over 10 years’ experience in Australian and British schools, a mother of two and a serious traveller.
Inspiration for this text came during a ten-month long driving holiday of over 34,000 kilometres around Australia with two toddlers and her husband. She was able to draw on experiences, not only from this particular trip, but also from the many intercontinental flights, bus and rail trips she has embarked upon with her children.
Time spent in secondary and primary schools has also given Melinda lots of experiences in managing children so that they are happy, occupied and most importantly on a long trip, quiet.
