Ratings and reviews

We get to know Tristan in the previous books in the Harborside Nights series, but really get to dig into what makes him tick in his story. Tristan is a sensitive man who isn't looking for his happily-ever-after when he walks into the bar. He's confident in his sexuality and his feelings for Alex, but struggles with how Alex is dealing with his transition to civilian life. I love Alex. He's also confident in his sexuality but struggles with how to act in an environment where it is not frowned upon. He isn't ashamed of his relationship with Tristan, but he can't change the behaviors that have been drilled into him for his entire military career. He fits well into Tristan's circle of friends and accepts that he isn't going to change his relationship with them because Alex is now part of his life. I love how the two of them work together to establish Alex's life in Harborside and adjust to his grandmother's death. The one struggle I had is that I felt like their relationship didn't hit many speed bumps. Other than Alex's behavior with Tristan while in a military environment, their relationship was pretty smooth sailing the entire time. I wish there would have been a bit more that they needed to struggle through on the way to their happily-ever-after. But all in all, a great love story with a happily-ever-after, showing a realistic depiction of a gay couple dealing with real-life struggles of how the world accepts them. 4 stars Melissa Foster is broadening my reading horizons one book at a time. I am used to reading contemporary romance novels. That is my safe place.... But with her Harborside Night Series, I am trying new things and liking them. Tempting Tristian is a M/M book. I usually don't read M.M, ut since it was Melissa's book, I gave it a try. If you have read the series, you know Tristian. He is a sweet guy who has been burned by a jerky ex. He has sworn off dating and focus in himself. That all changes when he meets Alex. Alex is totally alpha and an ex army. He is out of the army and out to the world. He is healing both mentally and physically from scars while overseas. Alex and Tristan have crazy chemistry. They both have lucked out meeting the other person. It is like they were meant for each other. Each one seems to help the other heal in ways that they need. I love this series and can't wait to see what is going to happen next!

This book was phenomenal, Alex, ex military and Tristan. This M/M romance has it all. Tristan has put a self imposed break on relationships and tries to work on himself. Alex is trying to put the pieces of his life back together after his discharge from the army. When these two come together, WOW!!! They bring out the best in eachother and together they make eachother whole. I hope to see some more books from Harborside.
