About this ebook

Some deals can’t be broken.

According to the family curse, Tessa has until her next birthday to select her future husband. However, choosing would mean his premature death. Unwilling to condemn any man to that fate, Tessa searches for an explanation behind the curse and the rules that dictate her life. What she learns is more terrifying than she could have imagined.

A demon brokered a deal with her ancestor in exchange for a companion, and he's come to collect. Tessa has a choice to make. Pay the debt or condemn a man to death. Her time to decide is running out, and as she’s learned, breaking the family rules always has consequences.

What a great read! It kept me engaged and wondering what was going to happen next. I delayed finishing it because I didn't want it to end and was disappointed upon discovering it was a standalone book and not a series. I'm looking forward to checking out other reads by this author in hopes of finding something else just as good.

Just finished Touch, and I have a serious book hangover! Melissa has a wonderful and amazing imagination! Her books draw me in and blow me away. I love how she takes something that I would consider evil, bad or extremely scary and makes me love, cry, and laugh. I love the original and unique relationships between the characters; Morik and Tessa are beautiful together! Tessa is a normal girl, not gorgeous or super strong, (well as normal as you can get, when you can see how your relationship with a guy is going to end up and you have to be asleep by the time the sun goes down). Morik is so unexpected, really scary at first, then you realize what a beautiful and lonely character he is. He is loyal, loving and selfless. I was brought to love something that seemed unlovable. I was not ready to be done with this book!

An immortal being falls for a teen? Yeah, right. I'm sure that is what he wants to use his powers on. Rolling my eyes.
