About this ebook

Megan’s temper lands her in Girderon Academy, an exclusive school founded in a town of misfit supernatural creatures. It’s the one place she should be able to fit in, but she can’t. Instead, she itches to punch the smug sheriff in his face, pull the hair from a pack of territorial blondes, and kiss the smile off the shy boy’s face. Unfortunately, she can’t do any of that, either, because humans are dying and all clues point to her.

With Megan’s temper flaring, time to find the real killer and clear her name is running out. As much as she wants to return to her own life, she needs to embrace who and what she is. It’s the only way to find and punish the creature responsible.

4.5 stars — Dude, this book was fun! It was exactly what I was looking for — something that I could immediately connect with that wouldn’t require a huge investment. I can’t wait to read more in the series! I was worried how I would take Megan, what with all the anger… But she made it work for her somehow. Like, she was DELIGHTFULLY snarky, and her flares of temper really became both a part of her, but also not what completely defined her. I think you could tell from the start that there was something not natural about them, so I rolled with it. And in the end she made me laugh with her violent reactions, just because of her attitude and stuff! I also really appreciated what we ended up learning about her and her abilities, it was so unique and interesting! And OMG, I adored her best friend Eliana! I loved the way they connected with one another as both being outsiders to this supernatural world, having human instincts and all that shiznit. I really appreciated how they balanced each other, and how they truly wanted to help the other out. It was nice to have such a prominent friend relationship in the book. I loved the way the mystery played out. I appreciated that there were a lot of nuances to what the final outcome ended up being, and it shed some interesting light on what it’s like in Uttira. Fenris confuses the heck out of me! While I find him to be utterly delightful and boyish and charming, I can’t help but wonder what his deal is! I hope we find that out! Oanen was…just fantastic. I loved his quiet persistence, his respect for Megan’s boundaries, but OMG did he make me swoon with some of his lines. He is definitely the kind of hero I can get behind. So yeah! Lots of fun new creatures, some I only knew the names of! I can’t wait to learn more about all of them, and how they all fit together. I love it when a book just matches with exactly what you’re needing at the time…

It was full of mythological creatures. The main character Megan had anger issues. Her mother pulls her out of school and drops her in a town where no one can leave until they graduate from a prestigious academy. Megan finds out she's a fury. She uses her power to find out who's murdering the humans and trying to blame her. It's full of teenage angst and jealous teens. It's a great story.
