About this ebook

When the job you can’t refuse comes with a guy you can’t resist.

Eagle shifter John Tillman can almost taste freedom.

He never expected to raise his kid sister. She’s worth the sacrifices he’s made—education, career, lovers—but the empty nest is calling his name.

To save her college fund, John’s taking every run his plane can handle and doing his best to keep his shifting under the radar.

Then his latest job walks into the bar with a strange gait and velvety Southern drawl.

+

Army veteran Logan Maddox has given a lot for freedom.

He’s no hero, just a guy trying to adapt to new parameters. If he isn’t fully living the gay identity he’s finally accepted…well, it’s not top priority.

After three tours, two new legs, and one long-overdue divorce, Logan has zeroed in on a single objective: a trip into Alaska’s back country, no distractions.

But fate has its own tactics, and the only pilot available is a tall, surly drink of water who’s gonna challenge every good intention Logan’s got.

LAUNCH THE HUNT is the 1st novel in the GRIZZLY RIM m/m shifter series.

Strap in for late-night tent shenanigans, chilly skinny-dipping, slow dancing with consequences, and a couple of rules just begging to be broken.

Tropes: single dads, forced proximity, hurt/comfort

Content Notes: This story includes memory of parental death, depiction of combat injuries & physical therapy, internal & external ableism, and teens making bad decisions.

John Tillman is a bush pilot in Alaska. He's been raising his sister, Cora since their parents died in a plane crash. He's hired by Logan Maddox to take him and his son, Will out camping and hunting for a week. Both men are attracted to each other and both have little experience being with a man. They explore each other and their sexuality at night while the teenagers sleep. The teens stir up some trouble and both men freak out a bit. Liked the ending, but wanted to see them happily committed and living together. Maybe an epilogue would help complete their story a bit better.

This is such a good book. Mia paints the story and moves Madox and Tillman within that canvas with a master's touch. She makes the unbelievable, believable and then spins up the tensions. It is great. Thanks.
